To be awarded this honour, the wine estate must have continuously produced top quality wines for many years and must have won the Merit Award 5 times within the last 10 years. The only wine estate to achieve this honour this year was the wine estate of Becker-Steinhauser in Mülheim. The estate was the only one to win this highest honour from the four wine areas which took part (Mosel; Ahr; Nahe; Mittelrhein)..."

At the Canberra International Riesling Challenge 2008 we were awarded a place in the top ten in the category Riesling with a wine from the Veldenzer Kirchberg. The Canberra Riesling Challenge is one of the most important wine tests in the southern hemisphere.

Nearly every wine was of high quality and the top of the collection has become even better and more varied.
