November 2011 - Autumn Infos

Dear friends of the grape!

In our autumn/winter text we would like to review the new vintage, whose harvest has been completed except for the ice wine. The weather this year was perfect. The grapes have never bloomed so early since records have been kept, there was ample rain during the sommer months and stable weather during the autumn lead to one of the best vintages we have experienced on our wine estate. The pinnacle was a "Trockenbeerenauslese" with over 270° öchsle - a value that ranks with the highest in sweet wine for the whole world. We will have more to say about this in the spring.
